Well the people driven crazy by them can anyway…

Hey guys. I’m here at work and I had some time, so I figured I’d get on here and post an update or two. As some of you may or may not have been aware, my Xbawks360 RRoD’d on me about 2 weeks ago. Now I know what you might be thinking: “Why didn’t I post about this THEN?” Well the fact of the matter is, I tried to keep from thinking of it all together because it caused both a great deal of sadness and frustration. Those who have owned a 360 that RRoD’d know what I mean.

Thankfully it didn’t take long for the great people at Microsoft to repair my console and return it. I am actually quite impressed with how their customer service handled the situation. Thanks to their 3 year extended warranty, almost everything was taken care of at no charge to me…the only thing that I had to pay for was the box to ship it in. They even went as far as sending a card with a month of Gold service free. If any of you have a problem with your console, don’t be afraid to let Microsoft know. They’ll treat you right.

However, even in that small period of time I felt quite depraved not being to play many of my games with my friends, so when I got my console back I was quite ready to play. However, I don’t have enough friends on Live to consistently play a game with. Sure, I could play with people I didn’t know, but there’s just nothing like teamwork with the people you do know. From annihilating opposing teams on Halo, to thrashing through a difficult solo on Guitar Hero(or Rock Band of course), knowing who you’re playing with just seems to make things better.

Of course, I understand that many of those who are my friends have different lifestyles that they lead. But to be honest, I’d like to have at least one organized “game night” so to speak possibly once a week where we can all get together and pick a game to enjoy. Spontaneity is nice every once in awhile, but when there’s new DLC for a game (ex. LFD2’s The Passing), to me it would be better if we could have something planned. I’ve been thinking about doing this since a good bit before my 360 RRoD’d but I’m seriously considering planning this night myself. If you’d like to get involved in this and you’re not one of my Live friends just e-mail me at miller@mygcsa.com. I’m gonna try to get on AIM a bit more often than usual as well so if you’d like to get in touch with me that way my screenname is gravelullaby06. Hope to see you guys out there on the digital battlefield!

Rock on,
Miller
